Description

At the end of the translation, I have also offered to you the Transliteration of JAPJI SAHIB, for those who may wish to recite as a prayer in the original Gurumukhi language. The book: "The Japji - Guru Nanak Dev's Master Key-Holy To The Mystery Of Deification Of Man" was published by Bhai Sher Singh, MSc, Kashmir on August 1, 1950. It begins with Mool Mantra and then follow 38 paudis (stanzas) and completed with a final Salok by Guru Angad at the end of this composition. I wanted to have the experience first and then judge it, rather than pass a judgment which would keep me from having the experience.

The preceding introduction elaborates on the motivation of the synopsis, considerations of “understanding” Japji Sahib, explaining notions like Naam, Naad, Simran and Jap, the life and legacy of Guru Nanak, and the problem of limitations within translations into other languages. Guru Nanak Dev Ji traveled to the far corners of the world to spread his message of a universal truth: to see a divine light that lives in every human being. Make wisdom your food and compassion your attendant; The Sound-current vibrates in each and every heart. Dhillon include 'Message of Guru Nanak through Sikh Daily Prayers', 'RAHRAAS Sahib: Ration of Life', Keertan SOHILA: Joyful Retirement', 'Anthem of the Universe by Guru Nanak', 'Slok Mahla 9: Significance of Prayer' and 'Rog Da Gurmat Paripekh'. I had a fairly good idea of what my "logical" objections to pursuing this path might be, and I didn’t want to give them precedence.Um den Zugang zu den Mysterien der heiligen Schriften zu finden gibt es eine Methode: Jap, wiederholtes rezitieren in Meditation. At this moment, many connections between experiences and qualities open up, make me grow further and become clearer! After over three decades of service, he has taken to writing about the 'Sikh Way of Life' to share the same with others.

I knew instantly, without even thinking it, that I had found the mantra that I needed - or that it had found me. Punjabi: ਜਪੁਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ, pronunciation: [d͡ʒəpʊd͡ʒiː sɛː́b]) is the Sikh thesis, that appears at the beginning of the Guru Granth Sahib – the scripture of the Sikhs. Virtue and vice do not come by mere words; actions repeated, again and again, are engraved on the soul. Narendrapal Singh Dhillon born (1954) in a traditional Sikh family in India is a professional (Chartered Accountant) who served in a leading Public Sector General Insurance Company in India.

There can’t be a more true and simple narration of why and how of the human life than the one detailed in Japji Sahib.

It is a lyrical, but very compact composition, with verses packed with deep meanings, many times without assigned verbs, and a lot of times leaving the interpretation to the imagination of the readers. All the available translations of Japji Sahib are narrative in nature and therefore, make it impossible to relate them to each word of the original rendering in Gurmukhi script.

The Jaap Sahib is, like Japji Sahib, in praise of God as the unchanging, loving, unborn, ultimate power and includes within it 950 names of God, [1] starting with Brahma, Shiva, Vishnu and moving on to over 900 names and avatars of gods and goddesses found in Hindu traditions, with the assertion that these are all manifestations of the One, the limitless eternal creator. Guru Nanak’s Japji Sahib is one of the most powerful, beautiful, deep and all-embracing compositions in Divine inspiration. When the CDs arrived in the mail, I immediately put on a pair of headphones and listened to the 45-minute Gurmukhi version. He watches, contemplates and rejoices upon His Creation O Nanak, description is extremely difficult! It is the most important Bani or 'set of verses' and is lovingly recited by all Sikhs every morning.
